ASHEBORO, N.C. - Randolph Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin M. Spiegel, FACHE, as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective June 2, 2026.

Mr. Spiegel joins Randolph Health with a distinguished track record of executive leadership across major health systems nationwide. Widely recognized for his strategic vision, expertise in hospital turnaround, and passion for expanding patient access through transformational change, he is poised to lead the organization into its next chapter of growth and community service.

"We are thrilled to welcome Kevin Spiegel to Randolph Health," said Dr. Michael Sarian, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of American Healthcare Systems. "Kevin’s extensive experience leading complex healthcare organizations, combined with his proven ability to drive operational excellence and improve patient care, makes him the ideal leader to guide our health system forward."

Mr. Spiegel’s career spans several leadership roles across the country. Most recently, he served as CEO of Florida Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and previously held the role of CEO at Vista Health System in Waukegan, Illinois.

His extensive background also includes serving as President and CEO of Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he led the seven-hospital, $1.2 billion organization. Prior to that, he was the CEO of Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. While managing these major clinical operations, Mr. Spiegel also contributed to academic medicine, serving as an Assistant Professor in the College of Medicine at both the University of Tennessee and Drexel University College of Medicine. He is a board-certified healthcare executive and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), a distinction that represents the highest standard of professional development in healthcare management.

Beyond his corporate achievements, Mr. Spiegel brings a profound dedication to community service and frontline care. He recently served as a Chaplain with the United States Chaplain Corps, offering crisis counseling during major national and international disasters. His foundational roots in healthcare began as a prehospital care provider, giving him a unique, ground-level perspective on patient needs and emergency services. Additionally, he has dedicated his time to numerous civic boards and national councils throughout his career.

"I am honored to join the dedicated team at Randolph Health," said Mr. Spiegel.
